Delmarva Golden Retrievers has a very selective breeding program. As a responsible breeder I am committed to producing healthy, sound puppies that conform to the Golden standard in structure and temperament. An exhaustive but thorough research of pedigrees insures me that I am making the right choice not only for my breeding program but also for the betterment of the breed in general. I typically breed anywhere from 1-2 litters per year.
Each litter is raised in my home under the best possible controlled conditions. The whelping room is monitored by video so I can keep a watchful eye on things but still give the dam her privacy. Before leaving my home at the age of 8 weeks, I introduce the litter to other dogs and people. They have been on a variety of surfaces and have played in several different areas of my home/yard. I feel this produces a mentally healthy and outgoing puppy which adapts easily to new surroundings.

Puppies are de-wormed, vaccinated, and checked by my Veterinarian before leaving my home. Pet puppies are sold on a spay/neuter sales agreement and registered with the American Kennel Club on "Limited Registration".
*** No puppy will be sold on full registration unless you are well established in the golden community***
I support minimal vaccinating of animals. I require all clients to pull a blood titer instead of yearly vaccines. If you or your Vet has a problem with this protocol, then I am NOT the breeder for you. This is for the health of any animal I produce. This is my own protocol: Puppy vaccine series (8, 12 and 16 weeks), a vaccine booster at 16 months. I then pull a vaccine titer every 2 years. I personally have never had to give another booster as my dogs had plenty of immunity. Rabies is given at 5-6 months. Then every 3 years after that. Rabies is required by law.
Each client receives a puppy packet which includes articles, pedigree, photo of the parents, clearances on parents, etc. The day you pick up your puppy you will receive a gift bag with lots of goodies for your new puppy, a record of vaccinations / medications to date, sales agreement, and you will be asked for the name you have chosen for the registration. I am available to answer any questions or concerns you may have for the life of your Golden.

Weekly videos and photos will be sent to each client.
Puppies are placed with their new owners based on the completed application. I will choose the puppy best suited to the clients' lifestyle. I do not let the owner choose their own puppy. All puppies will be evaluated at the age of 7-7 1/2 weeks. Show/performance puppies are chosen first and always take priority.
I will NOT respond to third party inquiries. Email will be deleted.
Important: Adding your name to the waiting list does not guarantee you will receive a puppy. Variables include: number of puppies whelped, overall quality (pet vs. show) and the gender breakdown. Puppies are $4,000 and a deposit of $300 will be required to hold a reservation. A full refund will be issued if the sex you have chosen is not available or if there were not enough puppies in the litter. After pregnancy is verified by ultrasound (and I get a rough count), I will accept 2-3 deposits before the litter is born.
